SUPPORTING PUPILS WITH MEDICAL NEEDS - A GOOD PRACTICE GUIDE
It has been written to help draw up policies on managing medication in schools, and to put in place effective management systems to support individual pupils with medical needs. It also contains proforma, which can be used by schools.

HEALTH & SAFETY OF PUPILS ON EDUCATIONAL VISITS - A GOOD PRACTICE GUIDE
This good practice guide is designed to help head teachers, teachers, governors and others to ensure that pupils stay safe and healthy on school visits. It includes chapters on Responsibilities for Visits; Planning Visits; Supervision; Preparing Pupils; Communicating with Parents; Planning Transport; Insurance; Types of Visit; Visits Abroad and Emergency Procedures. It also includes a number of Model Forms that can be copied or adapted.

NB The guide does not seek to replace local or other professional guidance or regulations. Where appropriate, LEAs should be the first source of advice
