Does anyone have a couple of old D size cylinders.  Theyre not for use, theyre for show on a preserved vehicle..

I need 2, although one would be good however 3 would be better!

Beer money available, and I can get my courier to collect them if parcelled up.

Ta Muchly.

I did reply to this a few hours ago - don't know where it's gone

These are not owned; they remain the property of BOC and are rented from them. Therefore, legally they are not for sale or purchase

Not all oxygen cylinders are owned by BOC we had a couple of private ones, but the cost of getting them refilled was silly as BOC insisted they were pressure tested every time they filled them. We ended up scrapping them.

You can buy from reputable dealers who supply the likes of the NHS, YOUR OWN 02 "D" type cylinder
http://www.spservices.co...g-KITC_51_0_1297_0.html

There are many more suppliers of 02 cylinders other than BOC.

just to name a couple.

Why dont you give BOC a call and explain what you want them for, they may have some de-commissioned ones, or something like that, that could help you.

Thanks for the highly unuseful and innacurate reply.

Only the ones OWNED by BOC are property of BOC.  Those OWNED by Linde, are the property of Linde.

Those privately purchased by people from SP/Boundtree/BOC/Linde are theirs to do what they wish with.

I would, but those that answer the phone are not the people to speak to and they seldom find you the right person to speak to.  These big companies seldom help anyone out, and i will no doubt be told because its a pressure vessel it has to be "in test" and that I should purchase / hire a new one.

I am sorry you find my reply "highly unuseful"

You are correct, of course, re ownership and BOC. It is utterly and completely my fault and stupidity for taking your original request literally, in that when people refer to "D-size" (or "E-size, F-Size, J-size" etc), they are usually referring to BOC cylinders and I foolishly assumed that was what you were asking for. My answer is correct for BOC cylinders (see their T&Cs). I'm sorry I didn't spot where you were asking for SP/Linde/etc cylinders.
