i did have to have a little chuckle to myself today.  Stuck in traffic when I noticed the car in front of me had a big ish (a5 sized) sticker saying

"First aid kit on board" and a gas warning sign for compressed gas.....hm me starting to think........

then I noticed the rear parcel shelf containing a strategically placed peaked cap from a certain VAS who have a man's name and a flurescent jacket

tee hee i thought... wanna be in the making....after all:

sensible people keep the parcel shelf clear to:

avoid flying objects in a crash

    give good visiblity

    deter break ins

Why would you want to advertise you carry a first aid?  after all, when i got stopped by a blood covered casualty on the motorway after an accident, it was them throwing themselves over my bonnet that stopped me...not them noticing the FA kit in my boot!!

I'm surpised the vehicle in question wasn't fitted with a little device which, at the press of a button, symultaneously places strewn rose petals in the vehicles path while playing Ride of the Valkyries at full volume.

A bit harsh guys.
It may be that the fella or woman lives in a village and knowing that someone is willing to help with first aid issues may be a good service to their community.
A hat on the back shelf is hardly a guided missile in the making.
Not sure if that VAS would allow people to keep an O2 cylinder on board unless it was to meet an insurance company requirement.
May be a CFR?

it was a bog standard (battered) golf.........i guess an off duty who likes to display their status.. a bit like an old contact of mine who left the fire service 250 years earlier but still kept a fire helmet on his parcel shelf!!!...

Thanks: 1 times
Hi Scotty, great to hear from you. Trust all is well. You have been missed on this site!

PS. First Aid kit – Sticker on your windscreen fine, but much better if you stop at an accident and offer help + FA kit

PS again - Regards to Mrs Dog.

Guess I kind of know what you are saying with this, but it’s good that people still have community spirit and go out giving to the local community for free. Was it something like odd bod or something like that off 007 that had a throwing hat with razor like edging. Maybe you have been behind a not so covert bad guy who was about to take over the world. Be afraid be very afraid of those peaked caps lol

Admin!

Many thanks for your kind words...... Been away too lonng hahah. Yes! as I saw you at HS Expo, Mrs Dog has had a time of it recently!, though better now.

It is endearing that whilst on a Virgin Train service ( I assure you other train providers exist) a call came over the tannoy asking for a doctor/nurse/ffirst aider was on board...... someone had a slight wound, bit of blood.... yet their staff would not offer assistance as they had no first aid trained crew......... of course I was in workwear which suggested I could offer assistance....... off goes superscottydog........ daaa da dedaaaaaa......

Bad news no one would offer assistance though...... my freind litigation methinks!
