I have just opened my e mails to my surprise one from FAAMS stating they need to do a monitoring visit. Also that it will cost over £500.

How on earth can they do this with imminent changes a foot!

They can, becasue at the present time they are still in charge.  Nothing has changed.....yet!

If this is the first you've heard of it I suggest you delay.

This would not be an unreasonable course of action given what we know (or not as the case may be).

I got date of Approval on 4/11/09 and it expires 4/11/14

I am shocked that they are even insisting on it!

has a complaint been made about your organisation?

have they done a visit since issuing your certificate?

says they will visit at 2.5 years and 5 years!

i'd say they were grabbing every last penny before they (the contractor- scout enterprises??)  loose their contract as we went 5 years with no visit

Given that information it would seem to me as your getting your 2.5 year visit in accordance with the guideline above.

Hillarious! Don't even acknowledge it. They are clearly looking to have a last few away days on expenses in a hotel somewhere before the redundancy notice and P45 drops through the door. What are they going to do - prosecute you? They have never once prosecuted anyone reported, including by me, for teaching FAW without approval. As Lofsted demonstrates that they had no legal authority to charge or regulate in the first place and as there are people looking to recoup the money they paid, then there is another good reason not to pay.

You are however most fortunate in that the peasantry general can neither email or telephone them. If you wouldn't mind posting that email address, that would be brilliant as there are a number of people that I know of who would really like to speak with them and have had no success with letters - then again if you have no office, where will the letters be delivered to!
