Hi all
Firts post to please be kind!
I have been trying to contact the Westcountry Ambulance service to volunteer as a community first responder but cant get any response. Ive sent letters, emails, filled out online forms and left phone messages but nothing. Ive also contact St johns and heard nothing.
Can anyone let me know what Im doing wrong or who to contact?
Im based in a small dartmoor village near Plymouth

I had similar problems contacting the Shropshire First Responder Scheme, eventually got lucky and found someone in the office when I telephoned. Have to remember that they are mainly volunteers.

It is no longer and hasnt been for a few years, Western Ambulance. It is now South Western Ambulance Service Trust. go tothis link and all the info is there. http://www.swast.nhs.uk/responders/

I am just over the 'Border' in SWAST country. About four years ago I contacted them to do this and it took so long to go through that I'd had a baby by the time I could have started training!!
Good luck, I know people who do it and enjoy it down here
