I have just been in touch with a wholesale badge manufacturer re Square  Enamel First Aid badges to hand out after courses.  I was prepared to buy several thousand and retail them on to other trainers for end of course freebies however  I thought £1 a time wholesale was a bit dear.

I was looking at price of ordinary 1 inch round button badges with the white cross and the words first aider above and the price comes down dramatically.  before I put in a large order I thought i would do a bit of marketing and see who would be interested in them  Bearing in mind there is no automated way of manufacturing them I would be retailing them at 20p each,  any takers???

I think this is a great idea but I personally wouldnt shift enough to make a corporately meaningful purchase. I do think however you could make a nice tick over on eBay worldwide. Good initiative and good luck. Paul

We already buy in the metal badges at a reasonable cost, and are also selling them on at £1.35 plus vat. We use them for all full FAW courses, and sell them to other providers who, I believe, use the similarly.

I don't think I would want to switch to a button badge because I think they would look cheap againt our current badge, despite a lower purchase price.
