Hi everyone,

I went for an inteview yesterday and am worried about the outcome. I had never done an intray exercise before and there it was..

Am hoping and praying that i get this job, because i really need it and i also think that my experience and ability are a proof that I can do this job.

when you have tasks like:-

replying to a ringing phone, answering a regret letter thats been pending for like 3 days, cancelling a cocktail party thats due in 4 days, emptying the out tray, returning a call or responding to a phone call a customer made yesteday and you promised to call her back today, Booking lunch and transport that is at 12.30 (bear in mind that transport needs to be booked within 24 hours), Read emails - because the email is what contains all the tasks for the day/week.
These are some of the tasks on the intray exercise,we were required to arrange them in the order of priority and also give reason.

Does anyone who how to go about this?

When I do intray exercises when recruiting, the main point of the exercise is to see if you can spot the obvious priorities and then get organised to sort out the rest. There is no one correct answer, but if you get flustered and non-functional in a simple test, what will you be like in a real situation?
As i said, get organised and work your way through without panic, and spot the obvious priority.
Good Luck
