Hi

I have added a new forum which will replace this one. I'm having problems with the login process but hope to have this up and running soon. All new members' posts are hidden until enabled by a moderator and we have a 'Probation' membership category where posts are hidden until enabled by a moderator. There are a few other bells and whistles I've added.

Please have a look. But please note that this is a live database and any posts will show in both forums.

Update

This is now the new forum

heh, fair enough.

What software is it btw?  There may well be some modules that would come in handy, and I don't mind looking.

Software is webwiz forum. I needed to change a few chunks of software to intergrate with the site. They also do a free version. Its written in classic asp.

The previous version of the forum was also from webwiz, so most of the software mods I had allready done. Hence it only took about 6 hrs.Thumbs Up

If you enter you web address in your member control panel, anyone clicking your name will also be able to call up your web page.
Not looked into the share topic bit yet.

If you can figure out what the ‘Share Topic’ does, you can have a get out of jail (probation) card for free! Beer

The 'share topic' function sends the current thread to a printable version, email and also the various social networking sites.

It is the same thing as the 'send this page to a friend'  button that many other websites have.

I can't reply to the forum from work - I don't have permissions on the forum, which I did before!!!!  Dead  This is the first chance I've had to reply from home!

I have the same problem as James Blonde. I posted a reply to a thread earlier today from work but it hasn't gone through. I don't think it is a problem with this forum tho, just our system set up. I have had the same prob since they updated the IOSH website. Cant face trying to log a call about it tho - the joys of overseas IT call centres Confused
