Please help, I am in Hampshire and need a blue light driving course. It must be IHCD approved for insurance purpose.
My employer has been looking into this but he can only find one firm who want 5 candidates to run a course and we can only find 2/3.

I've tried googling but hit dead ends as IHCD blue light training seems to throw up a lot of C1/D1 firms supposedly "blue light" who dont actually do the blue light section.

Only hope is asking you guys for help finding someone to train me or if theres anyone else waiting to get candidate numbers to fulfill a course could we combine, your place or mine??

Thanks in advance

Contact some NHS Ambulance Services who may run a course for you. Some do these as income generation.

Also, contact your county police driving school and ask them. The IHCD Course is just one course, and is only a fraction of what the police driving contains.

Also, the Fire service do emergencu driving courses and they may do income generation.

Agree with phecta, try your local constab, they do our training, its not cheap but when the brown sticky stuff hits the fan at least you'll know you have had a proper course, not a mickey mouse jobby thats not worth the paper its written on!

Hi, try road-craft
a guy called ian jeffs. He did mine, and it was great. It was in conjunction with Rospa award, and I've just sent my forms to get it APL to BTEC in response driving.

MrLabbo. Have you had a look at www.ersgroup.co.uk We are perhaps the leading private ambulance provider in the UK in terms of quality of delivery and are now expanding the training wing of our international organisation. We offer many IHCD courses and we work collaboratively with Birmingham City University to provide higher education programmes. Details of some of our courses are on the training pages of our website. Further details can be had by contacting tonyspence@ersgroup.co.uk

A bit of a late post but I'd recommend Road Craft as well. Ian is an instructor with years of experience which really does come across which helps you to relax and enjoy the driving.
