I have recently seen on ebay, that a user is offering FPOS courses for 20.00, and you read through the course book, and you will get the certificate.

How does this go in terms of being qualified?
What are the disadvantages / advantages to this style of course?
What is your overall opionon of it?

Thanks.

i brought this product to see what it was like, and the certificate is issued to you with the course pack, there are 2 sets of 10 questions to answer and answer sheets for them, I filled them in without using the answer sheets and scored 9/10 on each as I misread 2 questions.  however someone who is not that honest could just copy the answers from the mark sheet and amazingly score 10/10 on each and supposedly be a wonderful responder, there is no CPR test or anything to confirm you actually know what your talking about, and the certificate doesnt even say something along the lines of only valid with a FAW cert or similar, it mearly states:

this is to certify that

has completed a course of study on responder first aid skills intermediate level 2, and has attained the nessecary standard, certificate valid for 3 years with completed workbook

the problem is there is no checking that you have done the workbook and has attained the nessecary standard? how?

Sounds like a nice little earner.

I think this company / person should be named and shamed.

Again the cowboys are let loose.
