Hi all,

Can anyone help?  It was my understanding that as trainers or as a training organisation, we sould have a way of proving that manikin lungs are changed for every course and that the faces etc are sterilized, does anyone know if this is correct?  At our last post approval monitoring visit it was one of the things we were picked up and had to start doing but over the years it dropped off again.  We have just had another visit and it was never mentioned.  Has it changed or am I going mad???

I think it is down to pet points of the inspectors. Coming right through from EMAS, TASC and now Scout, different inspectors have had different ideas, then the next one says "Don't worry about that". How many people still get their delegates to sign (on their registration form the first day) that if successful, their employer will appoint them as a First Aider at Work? We still have that on our forms, like we were told to by Elizabeth Sheppard, the first EMAS inspector we had.
